Being The Tale of Yarn and Charity

I’m really sort of uncomfortable with self-promotion. Every time I post a link to my Etsy shop, Angry Baby, I get a little squirmy inside. Like right then? Totally grimaced at the monitor.

But I’m not going to talk about Angry Baby. I’m going to talk about the Fairytale Threads Children’s Consignment Sale happening later this month in Round Rock, Texas. It’s a massive event spanning three days (Sept 17-19), and if you want quality kid gear that us working stiffs can afford, you’ll find it there. This is their Fall event, so the majority of the stuff for sale will be winter clothes and such.

Also at this event, they’re holding a raffle to benefit the Round Rock Area Service Center. It’s basically a place where folks can get help, whether it be paying bills or getting a hot meal or having a place to stay for a while. You don’t really think about places like this existing in middle-class suburbia, but here they are and they’ve been lending a helping hand for over 30 years.

For this raffle, I teamed up with my friend Jillan to put together a prize package. Jillan is the head diva over at Beany Bling, and our kiddo fashion styles mesh frighteningly well.

Check it out:

So if you’re in the Round Rock area in a couple of weeks, swing by and check out Fairytale Threads. You can even enter the raffle to win a very pink basket full of stuff for the badass baby girl in your life. Tickets are only $1 each, and all proceeds go to the Round Rock Area Service Center.

Now I’m going to stop typing, so I can stop squirming.
